Meet The Management
 Marlin Smucker- President Marlin grew up in the business, his father founded the company when he was just 2 years old. He began working for his dad as an installer at a young age. With a lifetime of industry experience Marlin is leading the company in to its next 50 years. He assumed his current role as President in 2006 succeeding his brother Lee. His main duties within the company focus on managing the sales force and residential estimating; targeting residential products and services including siding, carpentry, spouting, and windows & doors. He also directly manages the siding division scheduling all new installation and repair jobs.
In his spare time Marlin enjoys spending time with his wife and family, including his grandkids. He also enjoys camping and boating at Raystown Lake, and reading, including biographies and trade magazines.
 Lee Smucker – CEO Lee also has a lifetime of experience in the industry as he too was a young boy when his father started a roofing and painting company. He became a fulltime employee at the age of 15 and has worked tirelessly since helping his father and siblings build a legendary Lancaster County company. Lee helped his father break into the commercial/industrial roofing market in the 80’s and helped grow and expand the company from its 1 man operation beginning to what it has become today. In 2006 Lee relinquished his role as president to his brother Marlin, to assume the position of CEO. Lee’s focus on daily activities revolve around the roofing repair division and large commercial roofing installations. He is also still very active on the roofs performing the diagnostics before the repairmen are sent out.
In his free time Lee enjoys riding his motorcycle with his wife, and friends. He has a fondness for keeping up with the weather; if you need to know the forecast just ask a roofer! And he spends a great deal of time with his 3 grandkids.
 Mary Ann Miller – Secretary/Treasurer & Office Manager Mary Ann began her career answering phones and performing secretarial duties and bookkeeping for her father. When she first started she only had a typewriter, pen and paper, and carbon copies. Mary Ann’s office management has moved the business through the years into today’s 21st century technologies seamlessly. Mary Ann spends her days balancing spreadsheets and preparing taxes, as well as managing the secretarial/support staff at the Lancaster and Ephrata offices.
Mary Ann has been an avid runner for many years and also enjoys riding motorcycle with her husband on the weekends. She is also a very busy grandmother keeping up with 9 grandkids.
 Sheldon Miller – Vice President Sheldon began working for his grandfather, Sam, as a teenager. His first job was working on a cleanup crew in summer months and sweeping out the shops. He graduated from Millersville University with a degree in business management, continuing to work as an installer during summers. In 2000 a laser machine was purchased to expand the capabilities of the metal fabrication shop. Sheldon began CAD drawing and quoting prices for custom laser jobs. Today Sheldon has grown the laser division in to a fulltime fabrication shop known as Smucker Laser Cutting, adding another larger machine in 2009 and expanding the shop’s capabilities. Aside from running the laser division he also run the metal roofing division providing quotes and scheduling installations for standing seam and tin roofs as well as other custom metal fabricated jobs.
Sheldon enjoys his free time with his wife and their beautiful family. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys running.
 Greg Esh – Human Resources/Safety Manager Greg took his first job in the construction industryat the age of 16 working summers through high school and continuing through college. He graduated from Millersville University in 1992 with a B.S. in Industrial Technology and a minor in Industrial Safety. After college he worked for a local building supply firm as an estimator for 2 years before joining the Smucker team in 1994. Greg started out as a commercial estimator and quickly took over the role of safety coordinator, and eventually assumed the role of Human Resources Director. Greg wears many hats within the company but enjoys the variety that it brings to his job each day.
When not at the office Greg keeps busy volunteering at his church and in his community as a township supervisor. When at home, he enjoys relaxing with his wife and their 3 daughters. The Esh family enjoys traveling to the mountains and to the beach.
Meet The Sales Team
Don Martin - Don has worked in the home remodeling industry for over 37 years. He joined the Smucker team in 1993. Don is the Ephrata Showroom Manager and Marketing Manager; he lends his voice to our Radio and TV commercials, in addition to his full time estimating duties.
Don enjoys his job because even though the work is basically the same day after day, each day is different. Meeting new clients and helping them with their home remodel from a single storm door to a complete exterior face lift, no job is ever the same! Don enjoys helping his clients navigate through all the choices and making the right decision to get the best value for their invested dollars.
Don is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys taking his rifle for a walk in the woods during hunting season. He and his wife just welcomed their first grandchild this summer!
Jeff Miller - Jeff has been in the building materials sales industry since 1982. He came to Smuckers in 1994 and works out of our Ephrata Showroom. Jeff's main duty is to provide quotes for roofing, spouting, siding, windows, doors, and more.
Jeff is dedicated to accomodating his clients' needs and works long hours to accomodate working schedules. He'll help in your design process and provide lots of ideas and options to meet your budget and your style.
In his personal time Jeff stays busy playing sports and keeping up in the busy lives of his adult children.
Phil Givler - Phil came to Smuckers right out of high school in 1978. Sam hired him to work as an installer. Today Phil is a full time estimator for roofing, spouting, siding, windows & doors, and gutter covers. You won't find anyone more passionate about Gutter Topper! He is also the spouting manager and co-manager of the safety committee.
Phil enjoys meeting and working with clients and helping their ideas come full circle; having a fully satisfied homeowner who is glad they chose Smucker to do their job is his goal.
When not working Phil enjoys spending time with his family. He's been married to his wife Donna for 29 years with whom they have 2 daughters, Laura & Kelly, and a son, Bobby. Phil is actively involved with the Sr. High youth at his church.
Eric Herr - Eric joined the Smucker Team in 1996 as a shingle roofing installer. In 2000 he took over as the Roofing and Spouting Divisions' Superintendent. In addition to scheduling the work loads for these two divisions he also keeps very busy providing quotes for spouting and roofing needs.
In his spare time Eric superstitously follows the Phillies and enjoys hunting with his sons. He is also the office connoisseur of whoopie pies.
Ben Martin - Ben has been working in the remodeling industry since 1978. He was recruited and joined the Smucker team in 1995 to install windows and doors. today Ben is the superintendent of the window and door divisoins. In addition to managing these divisions he also takes care of any service issues that may come up with our installed windows and doors.
Ben is a master carpenter and enjoys working in his woodshop when he has spare time. He keeps busy with his wife and kids and is actively involved at his church.
 Barry Brugger - Barry came here in 1993 with a strong background in construction and remodeling. He was originally brought on as a window and door installer. In 2005 he becaume our "Measure Tech.". Barry gets a final measurement on everywindow and door sold before it is ordered from the manufacturer to ensure that your productsare the correct size for your home each and every time. In addition to that he places the orders with the manufacturers and follow through until its delivery at our warehouse. He still installs windows, and assists Ben with service and repair requests.
When not in the office Barry enjoys spending time with his family, and boating on the lake. He is also very passionate about politics and will debate anyone who dares to take him on.
